Psalm 100 for Thanksgiving, on how easily thankfulness is misplaced… read more

The seventh trumpet sounds and the announcement is already past tense: the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord. Pastor Adam admits it is the first time he has ever preached Revelation, and lands on two things for Wednesday.

John is handed a measuring rod and told to leave the outer court out of it. Pastor Adam does the hard background honestly, then brings it home: you are the temple now, and some courtyards in a life need excluding.

Pastor Adam changes his mind in front of everyone — he had always read the mighty angel as Jesus until seventy-two hours before preaching. The chapter is a pause, the scroll is eaten rather than read, and the message it produces has two flavours.

The order to release the sixth trumpet comes from the horns of the altar — the place people ran to for mercy. Pastor Adam traces the Euphrates as a boundary line, and corrects the record on his own addiction: God did not take it away.

A star falls and is handed the key to the abyss. Pastor Adam finds the life-changing detail in what is easy to miss — every angel here has an assignment it knows and obeys, and the things released have power only because it was given to them.

The third season in Revelation drops you into the middle of a firefight. Pastor Adam sets two rules — no speculation, and it has to change your Tuesday — then reads the repeated fraction as mercy: a third, not all.

Devoted, together, daily. Pastor Adam closes the series on regularity, makes an unfashionable defence of religion, and ends with Nicholas Winton — who told nobody for fifty years, until the audience seated around him stood up.

The Greek for “together” carries proximity, not just agreement — they lived near each other. Pastor Adam handles the verse everyone flinches at carefully, then refuses to let the caveat do all the work: do you actually want to be part of a church like that?
