Devoted, together, daily. Pastor Adam closes the series on regularity, makes an unfashionable defence of religion, and ends with Nicholas Winton — who told nobody for fifty years, until the audience seated around him stood up.

The Greek for “together” carries proximity, not just agreement — they lived near each other. Pastor Adam handles the verse everyone flinches at carefully, then refuses to let the caveat do all the work: do you actually want to be part of a church like that?

Four things the first church devoted itself to, treated as a blueprint rather than a historical note. Back from Israel, Pastor Adam puts the uncomfortable question to his own congregation: ten years in, we have gotten wider — have we gotten deeper?
