The bush burns for some time before anyone speaks — God calls only when he sees Moses has gone over to look. Pastor Adam builds on an invitation that was conditional on curiosity, and asks what we walk past because investigating would cost us time.

A rich man climbs a tree to see over a crowd, and Jesus invites himself to dinner — reversing the direction of the invitation. What follows is restitution nobody demanded, offered at a level exceeding what the law required.
