The living creatures never stop saying holy, holy, holy. Pastor Adam takes the uncomfortable turn: purity is not merely neglected today but scorned, and a culture that finds it ridiculous will find this passage incomprehensible rather than beautiful.

Two men present a severed head as good news and David has them executed. Pastor Adam uses the scene to address the wrath of God, distinguishing a response against what violates God’s nature from the capricious, self-indulgent human version.

A Christmas series on joy opens in Hebrews 12, with a race run under a cloud of witnesses. Pastor Adam treats joy as something produced rather than waited for, in three moves, and puts losing heart forward as the actual risk being guarded against.

Pastor Adam defines gossip sharply enough to remove its defences: a coercive social weapon that creates influence for whoever shares it. Ephesians 4:29 supplies a standard higher than merely being true, and James 1:26 supplies the harder line.

Nineveh repents and Jonah is furious about it. Pastor Adam closes UberWhale on the chapter most people skip, diagnoses a geography problem rather than a God problem, and asks whether God is angry about the things we are angry about, and what the anger is actually accomplishing.
