Elijah is the headline, but this week belongs to the civil servant. Obadiah ran Ahab’s household and hid a hundred prophets fifty at a time — and then argued with Elijah about getting killed. Pastor Adam treats that doubt as permission rather than failure.

The brook dries up and God’s next instruction is worse: go to Jezebel’s home territory, where a starving widow will feed you. Pastor Adam sits with what Elijah asks of her, and with the shape of the provision — the flour never ran out and never overflowed.

Having just confronted a king, Elijah is told to hide. Pastor Adam refuses to smooth that over — separation, solitude, sustenance — and asks the question underneath it: what is actually sustaining your decisions right now?

Elijah arrives in scripture with no genealogy, no calling narrative — he simply walks into the worst king’s court and announces a drought. Pastor Adam opens the series on what a change maker is, and why every person listening has a place that needs one.

The revival series takes up the same whisper the midweek workshop was working through, and points it at the church rather than the individual — on reaching back into history when the ground is moving, and on the difference between visiting and belonging.
