Lot has conviction in abundance — Second Peter says he was tormented daily by what he lived among. What he never develops is resolution. Pastor Adam traces the hesitation from the angels grabbing his hand to a cave, and closes with Lincoln setting down the pen.

Second Peter calls Lot righteous. His story still ends in a cave. Pastor Adam opens two weeks on Lot with the uncomfortable question underneath that — whether a person can be counted righteous and still end up away from the blessing.

Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? Pastor Adam reads the bargaining over Sodom as God disclosing his plan to someone he knows will argue — and closes with the eighteen-year-old who left his foxhole in 1968 to carry Adam’s brother out.

Abraham has a plan B and its name is Ishmael. Pastor Adam works through what it costs to settle, counts 2,774 failed light bulbs, and then undoes his own framework: asked what plan A actually is, the answer turns out to be your heart.

Every agreement God made with humanity was broken from the human side, and a broken agreement normally ends the relationship. Pastor Adam walks the four Old Testament covenants, tells a genuinely bad story from 1979, and arrives at why there had to be a new one.

Abraham is ninety-nine and the dream has been dead long enough to stop being mentioned. Pastor Adam preaches against the discount — the not-talented-enough, not-young-enough markdown we apply to our own dreams — and insists that fulfillment is usually work, not miracle.

Genesis 16 is a family in ruins: Sarai desperate, Abram weak and then disengaged, Hagar running into the desert. And the one who gives God a name is the mistreated servant girl — El Roi, the God who sees me.

The path of the righteous brightens toward full day, and Pastor Adam turns that into a dimmer switch: every right decision raises the light, every dimmed one hides what is coming. Then he closes by undercutting his own series — Christ is our wisdom.
