Open your Bibles to Acts 4, 1 through 12. There you go. That's your mark. We are, I am in the New King James Version. I've been enjoying the NJKV. That's right. No, NKJ, whatever it is. I've been enjoying that one, the New King James Version. And I'll probably be, I'll just be in there for a while. If you were brand new, I like, I like kind of moving around in different translations a little bit, just to give us a flavor of what different scholars thought.

But we have the 1984 version of the King James Version in your pew, and I think the one that I always use will be up in front of you. So let's read it. Now, as they spoke to the people, this is James, excuse me, John and Peter, remember? And we're on this story of this man who they healed, and they caused a ruckus. Can everyone say ruckus? Ruckus. I feel like Miles McPherson when I do that. Everybody say ruckus? Yeah, I like it. Thank you.

Now, as they spoke to the people, the priest and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them. Now, why were they called Sadducees? Because they didn't believe in what? They didn't believe in the resurrection of the dead. And because of that, they were Sadducees, one of the most overused but memorable things of preaching. Being greatly disturbed, this is the leaders, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people.

Make a break there between the leaders and the people. They taught the people and preached in whose name? Jesus' name, the what? Resurrection from the dead. Great point. If you're going to be a Christian, Christianity is partly built, mostly built, on the resurrection of the dead as long as other pillars of the faith as well. And they, meaning the leaders, laid hands on them and put them into custody until the next day, for it was already evening.

Verse 4. However, many of those who heard the word, put a circle around heard, heard the word, believed, put a circle around believed. And the number of the men came to be about 5,000. Now, back then, they did not count the women, so there's probably more that are a part of that. But the number of men was 5,000. And it came to pass on the next day that their rulers, elders, and scribes, as well as Annas, the high priest, Caiaphas, some of these names ring a bell?

Where have we seen them before? Crucifixion of Jesus. John, Alexander, and many, as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in their midst, there's that word, when they had set them in their midst, they asked, by what power or by what name have you done this? Do we know what the answer is?

That's right. Next verse. Then Peter, circle this, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, rulers of the people and elders of Israel. If we, this day, are judged for a good deed done to this helpless man, they're pointing to the helpless man, which means who got put in prison with him? Right. You get healed, you get put in prison. Because obviously he was there the next day with them.

By what means he has been made well, or being judged by a good deed. Let it be known to you all and to the people of Israel. There's that separation again. You all meaning the leaders and separating them from the people of Israel. Because oftentimes, especially in, well, in many countries, there is a separation between the people who lead and the people.

And we see this throughout this particular passage over and over, a differentiation between people and those with power. Okay? And we see that Peter, you'll see in a moment, that Peter and John are preachers to the people. Jesus was a man of the people over and over again. And the gospel is set forth as the hearts of people are set on fire. It says, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified.

Who's he speaking to? The leaders whom God raised from the dead. There's the resurrection of the dead again, which is important. By him, by him, that's Jesus, this man stands here before you whole. Verse 11. This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Now, many people have stopped there. Many people have said that when Jesus told Peter, you are the rock upon which I will build my church, that that meant that Peter was now the rock of that being handed down, that he was that rock.

But Peter himself here is basically repeating what Jesus said to him. But he says, basically, he doesn't say, I'm the rock, even though he is called Peter. And Christ said, you are a rock, Peter. And upon you, but upon this message, the resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ, I will build this church. And so Peter right here is denying that he is the foundation upon which the church is built upon.

And at the beginning, when they healed the man, he said to them, stop attaching yourself. All the people came to him to basically worship them. And in the beginning of this story, remember a few weeks back, and he said, hey, get your eyes off me. What are you looking at? A lesson he had learned when Jesus ascended and the angels came to him. And he says, hey, why are you sitting here looking up into the sky?

Get the business. And so Peter is denying that he is the rock that the message was built upon. The message is the rock and Jesus. It says, this is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. The cornerstone is upon, if you are a builder or a mason of some kind in masonry work, you will see that that is what you build.

Everything stands upon the proper laying of the cornerstone. Verse 12, nor is there salvation, this is key, nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Yeah, that's the scripture, right? Peter wasn't afraid. We go through this again quickly because like I say, I'm going to read the verse and then I'm going to read through the verse again and give a couple little highlights.

And I'm going to get to the point so you know how we do it. We're going to talk about, get to the point here that there's no other name, but this is a rich scripture. So let's just go through it. Now as they, verse one, now as they spoke to the people, like I said, there was often a divide between people and their leaders. And oftentimes the leaders want you to believe something that is not in the hearts of the people.

And there's a differentiation. And Peter, while, you know, Paul obviously wanted to get to Rome to speak to Caesar because he wanted the heart of Caesar. And so I'm not saying that we should not focus on politicians or use our right to vote or do these different things. But political change starts with people. If you understand our political system, you understand that politicians poll people before they give their opinions.

We get that, right? They poll people recently in the debate. I won't say which debate I was watching, but someone who was eerily silent on an issue in the newspaper for a couple months until they found out what the people thought two months later. And now they're coming out very boldly with statements about this subject. We'll just leave it at that.

Because oftentimes leaders make decisions based upon the people. And so we see that there's a separation here. And my point is this. Focus on people. The gospel is about people. Not that politicians aren't people. But sometimes they can be so removed, they can be so far behind the walls that we miss the opportunities that are right in front of us.

Jesus went out to the people. And it says, The captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them being greatly disturbed and taught the people and preached in Jesus' name. Who did they teach? They taught the people. And who did that disturb? The leaders. That's right. Because they preached the resurrection from the dead. And what was the result, it says, in verse 3, when they spoke the name of Jesus?

They laid hands on them. They were assaulted because of the name of Jesus and put in prison. And they put them in custody until the next day for it was already evening. However, many of those who what? Heard. Heard. What is a key component of being saved? Hearing. And how can they be saved if they do not hear? And who shares the message? Right. You are the message.

The word of God is important. But you are the message. You are the testimony. And you realize it's a luxury that we have a Bible and multiple translations of the Bible. And you have a phone that you can get multiple translations of the Bible. You know, only in the last maybe 150 or 200 years has the Bible been accessible to who? The people. But now it's a blessing that we can have the Bible.

But before that, we didn't have the Bible. Who had to be the message? You. You are the message. You are the gospel. You are the one who speaks. And if they do not hear, they cannot believe. We have to share the gospel. I'm so glad James was here today on this sermon. And I didn't tee this sermon up with him coming. But I think the Lord did. We have to share the message.

And I would ask this. Where are you sharing the message? It's not a guilt thing. Because last week we learned that the message is good news. It is good news. It is news of refreshing. Repent that you might have times of what? And that the Lord might come and be present. Times of refreshing, it says, from the presence of whom? The Lord. That when we repent, we are refreshed by the very presence of God.

That's good news. That is good news. And that is the message. That when we share the gospel, we share a message of hope. H-O-P-E. However, and I love that. It says, now they're in prison now, for it was already evening. Look at this word, however. Circle that word. Many of those who heard, however. However is a word that shows, well, this happened. But however, this took place.

That it doesn't matter that this happened. This is what happened contrarily. Is that a word? It happened in effect. The effect was this. Many of those who heard still believed the word of God. They were put in prison, but however. And the rulers, elders, and scribes, as well as Annas, the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, as many of the family of the high priest were gathered at Jerusalem.

And when they had set them in their midst, and I'm preaching my sermon. I'm going to preach this again in a second. What are you in the midst of? These guys got put in the midst. They just saw Jesus get crucified by this very same group of people. And now they're there in their midst. You have to understand, or you have to believe, that they were thinking about that.

That they were thinking about what had happened to Jesus. They had seen it. And Jesus had been, or Peter had been right there. Remember? And so now he is standing in the exact same position that he watched Jesus from afar. And from afar, somebody asked him, Do you know this man? And he said no. And he called down curses upon himself because he was fearful of what might happen to him from afar when a little girl by a fire asked him.

And he denied Jesus three times. And now he's no longer by a fire. He's no longer, that's right, he's no longer with a little girl asking him, Aren't you this guy that hung out with Jesus? Or somebody saying, Hey, that's a Galilean accent. No, and he's calling curses on himself. Curse me if I knew him. May I be a cursed. You know, we can curse ourselves sometimes and still end up on the right side of God because of God's grace.

And that's what happened to Peter. Peter, if you feel that you're cursed, I heard someone say recently, I feel like I'm cursed. You know what? Peter himself called curses down upon himself. And God still took him to the other side of the Jordan and gave him blessing. And so he's out here and imagine him. And you've got to think, now that he has had this moment, he's seen Jesus raised from the dead.

The Holy Spirit has come and it has filled him at Pentecost. And he has seen, you know, the tongues of fire upon them. Now all of a sudden, he's here. And I bet he's elated. I bet he's elated. He's elated. Because he gets an opportunity to restore the years the locust had eaten away. The opportunity to have what happened before come to your front door again.

Have you ever had, well, this keeps happening to me. Oh, you know, this happened once before and now I'm in the same place and it might happen again. But maybe now, we can attack that situation that we are in the midst of with a new mentality. Maybe you have a chance to redeem it and that's what Peter does because this time, Peter doesn't call down curses on himself.

This time, Peter says, you crucified Jesus. You crucified Jesus. He is the chief cornerstone upon which this entire fragrance of the faith has been built. And he points at them and he tells them, it is under heaven, no other name, that anyone might be saved. I have a feeling he wasn't afraid anymore. I had a feeling that he wasn't trying to not step on any of the Sadducees' toes.

You see, Peter had a time, a chance to redeem the years the locust had eaten away. And sometimes you're back in the midst of something that you've experienced before because God wants to give you another opportunity for a do-over. You know what a do-over it is? I play elementary school handball. I did 10 years at my daughter's school where I showed up on Fridays and I played handball.

The rules would always change. Those little kids cheat. I want to let you know they cheat. They're cheaters. I get them out. They say, oh no, that was a rocket. I'm a rocket? What's a rocket? Oh, a rocket's when you did what you just did. No, it's no such thing as a rocket. No, it's a rocket. And then they look at his little ghouly friends. Yeah, right?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. A rocket. That was a rocket. You're out, old man. No, I'm not out. I'm not out. Get the principal. Get the principal. You know what I say? Do-over. No, there's no do-overs. Yeah, I called do-overs at the beginning of the game. Remember, there was no rockets in do-overs, so let's do-over. So frustrating when we lost yesterday on an offsides penalty.

Mad. Ruined my day. Peter got a do-over. Maybe you're getting a do-over. Maybe you're back where you were before in the midst of something. And God's saying do-over. And this time you're going to do it differently. You have the opportunity to do things differently. You get to choose. So we see that's powerful. However, many of them heard and believed.

And then they said, by what power of the name, by what power or by what name have you done this? And then Peter. I love this. What does it say? Filled with the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine? Just imagine. What did that look like? What did it look like when he got filled with the Holy Spirit? And I want to say, I'm preaching, I'm already ruining the sermon, but it's okay, because we're going to get to it anyways here at one point.

In the midst of your trial, what would it look like if you got filled with the Holy Spirit? What would it look like if the manifested presence comes upon you? And we can talk what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit, because it said just a couple chapters ago that he was filled with the Holy Spirit, right? Was it now? Is he getting filled again?

All I know is that God, the Scripture uses that term to mean God showed up. That's how I look at it. I can't argue about how you got filled, when you got filled, what was it, what are the two-thirds filling, and then you had to go to something. I don't know. But I know in the midst of trial, temptation, and fire, the Holy Spirit showed up, and God shows up in the midst.

And Peter has the ability to confront the giant that is in his life and look it in the eye and say it is by the name of Jesus that I am saved. He is the chief cornerstone, and may God be praised. Pow! I'm preaching to myself. That's good. Thank you for the amen over here in the right-hand corner. My mom's not even here. Good job. Got the whole row over there.

Right, nice. Can I get a name? I went to this church in San Diego. They had different rows. They had Beardsley's Backsliders. She was like in her 80s, and she ended up sitting in the back. She lived across the street from Skyline Wesleyan, and all her prayer group would sit in the back. They called them the Beardsley's Backsliders. If you go to church, you name your pew.

Name your pew. It's kind of fun. Verse 9, If this day we judged for a good deed done to this helpless man, by what means has he been made well? Let it be known to you all and to the people of Israel in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. This man stands before you whole. It says in verse 10, verse 11, I've preached. Verse 12, I love this. Nor is there salvation by any other name.

It goes on. Let's look at the first one. First of all, verse 1 in the notes, they spoke to the people. Who was their audience? Who's your audience? Who are you speaking to? Speak to people. Speak to the people. And look at how they came to this man. They saw him as broken. He was broken. This man was helpless. I want to say, the broken are oftentimes more willing to receive.

Just find broken people. It's easy to share the gospel with broken people. Pride is a barrier to the gospel. But when someone's broke, the gospel is the elixir. The gospel is a healing. The gospel is accepted. People say, I don't. I've tried everything in this world has to offer, but nothing's working. Well, let me share with you the gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news of the hope of the gospel.

So this gospel is people-centric and always starts with one soul. You just got a soul in front. Do you realize when you stand at your coffee house or, and I keep bringing up the different places where you hang out or the same surf break or on your coaching where you coach or the school you go to or you're a teacher and that student comes up and they're annoying to you and they're hard and they're difficult, that a soul stands before you.

A soul. People are souls. Souls are eternal. All their issues and their stuff are going to pass away, but their soul is eternal. Peter and John did not start with the politicians, but rather with the people. I'm not saying we don't need to be. Look, we need to be voting. We actually have a voting booth here on the, I think it's, I forgot the date, in November.

They come here and people vote here and we're going to hand out water and be a part of it. I think it's so cool. They came and they said, hey, we want to keep coming to your church. We love coming to your church. You guys do a great job. Can we keep doing voting in your church? Yes. And I usually take that cross and I move it over there and put it in the building and on the wall it says, holy, holy, holy, and we're going to give away water and you come and cast your vote in the presence of the Lord.

Go do it. We want you here. So awesome. So I'm not, I'm not saying that we don't want to be a part of that process. We do. Please, please vote. Please read the word of God, find out what it says and vote accordingly. I'm not going to tell you what to vote for. On occasion I might, but not too much. But it starts with people. If you never have a vote, you can vote with your testimony.

People get changed. Revival starts with people. And if people start changing, trust me, the politicians will change. It's true. People change. People change laws. You look around different things. In revivals of the history, you study the revivals. We see that. As believers, we need to realize that individual people are the heart that God is after or what the heart of God is after.

Let me read that again. As believers, we need to realize that individual souls, individual people are what the heart of God is after. When you see somebody, they cut you off or whatever it is, just think, that person is a soul and God deeply loves them. And how dare I speak against a creation of God my Father? The scripture says that. As believers, we need to realize that we are the message.

I've already preached that. Let's go to verse 3. And they laid hands on them. Persecution. Persecution will happen at some point in different varying degrees based on the seasons of historicity. In the 1st century, 2nd century, 3rd century, heavy seasons of persecution. And then the church, then Rome became Christian. And I don't know if that was good or bad.

It was good in some ways. But if the devil, if the devil can't attack you, he'll try to become your best friend. He can work in either government. One that completely opposes and persecutes Christians or one that is fully, you know, aligned with the church. And we've seen that through history as well. that the nature of the gospel will bring persecution though at times.

And there are seasons of persecution. And if you share the gospel, there will be persecution, especially in this day and age. Why? Because the nature of the gospel is offensive. Is the nature of the Christian message is offensive. You get that. Jesus is a stumbling what? The Bible says it's offensive. There's no way to actually share the message without the stumbling block of Jesus Christ in the way.

By nature, it is offensive. Why is it offensive? Let me tell you. It says it's offensive because the gospel is absolute. It's absolute. It says there's no way to be saved except through the name of Jesus. It's absolute. There's no other way to heaven except through Jesus. Meaning good people don't go to heaven. I understand that's offensive. It's offensive because it's meant to be.

Because there is no way to enter a perfect God's the place of dwelling unless we are perfect. And we cannot be perfect except through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus. It is offensive. It is absolute. And it asks for submission. I'll tell you, one thing human beings don't want to do is submit. The Bible says these things are right, these things are wrong, and we ask you to bow your knee and your tongue and your heart and your mind to the lordship of Jesus Christ.

It's not a message in a society that is moving closer and closer to humanism, which humanism just means man's God. We get that. It's either God's God or man's God. That's it. There's no other options. It's either you make God God or even if you say there is no God and you're an atheist, you still become God to make that decision. So there's always going to be a God.

It's either going to be a demagogue or it's going to be a small God, G, with man or it's going to be submitting to God himself. Look, it says in verse 12, nor is there salvation in any other name. That has to get into your testimony at some point. At some point when you share with people, we can do a year and a half of hanging out, having coffee, talking about God, being friendly, whatever, but at some point when God fills you in their midst with the Holy Spirit, you'll have to say there's no way to, there's no other way but through the name of Jesus.

And you can say it however you want, and in a way as most palatable as you can. It says, there's no other salvation in any other for there is no name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. 1 Corinthians 1.23, we however preach Christ having been crucified, a stumbling block indeed to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. Why a stumbling block to the Jews?

Because they had been told over and over again that a king was coming. A king was going to come and was going to set himself up in Israel and that Israel would rule the world because of the Messianic king. That's a message that's still being preached today in a lot of Christian churches. The same thing that the Jews were believing then and that the apostles actually believed.

Why did they bring swords with them? Because they believed that Jesus in the Gethsemane was going to take over. Is this now the time that you are going to restore the kingdom of Israel? And Jesus says, it's not for you to know the times or the places, it is for the Father to know those things. But Jesus was focusing on a different kingdom. And I know that God is going to do things with Israel.

He said he is going to do those things. But there's a different kingdom that Jesus was enforcing. And it's a stumbling block to the Jews because Jesus came and was crucified and it didn't match the theology of the day. The theology still is that Messiah is coming. Messiah has not yet come and Messiah will come. And if you read in the book of Revelations, you will see where a Messiah known as Antichrist will come.

And I'm not going to get into the book of Revelations more than that. But to say, why does this verse say it's a stumbling block? Because Jesus was a crucified king that submitted himself to death, to death itself. But death could not hold him. And he was resurrected by the sheer force of life. Death could not hold him. When he died, do you realize that he was died, that God caused him to die?

Nothing could kill the Savior. No one took his life. They had the inability to take his life. God himself had to crush his son that he would be dead. But you can imagine as the catalyst of life started shaking within his body, that it was bursting forth, and death was trying to put the cords around him, but death could not hold him to the point where eventually he burst out.

He burst out. See, it wasn't like there was a moment, I think, of the resurrection, or maybe there was, but I just feel that when we speak of life, life is a force. Life is a force that will not be contained. And if you get in touch with the force of life in your life, it will not be contained. Get in touch with life. You know, I look at TV, it's death. The most, some of the highest rated shows right now, what are they about?

They're about death. And the most brutal, I don't know, I don't know how you could be a writer for those shows. I mean, just the most brutal, we put ourselves in the pathway of death. We put our, what are we putting ourselves in the pathway of? If you want to have the catalyst of life begin to go into your life and shoot you out into the streets like a voice of joy and hope, you need to realize what you're putting yourself in front of, what tracks, because death runs on a rail track, and if you want to lay down in front of that track, it'll run you over.

And if you want to put yourself in the track of life, it'll come and it'll pick you up and take you in the momentum of that track of life. Last week when I spoke on sin, Elliot got a hold of me, about once a month, Elliot gets a hold of me after a sermon and gives me this incredible insight and he says, sin in the scripture is seen as being alive. Sin taking its advantage, taking its place.

It is anthropomorphic. It has an energy. He says, sin is just not, you do something wrong and God writes it down. He says, sin is an energy and he brought the scriptures with that and he says, when our sins are blotted out, there's actually an energy transfer that not only happens within you, but that happens within the cosmos, that happens within God, that actually you can change the energy of your life.

You know, this energy thing, the New Age movement has picked up on it. Why? Because it's the truth of God. You know, there's truth in these things that we see, but oftentimes we don't know the root of that truth. we're tethering that truth to the wrong root, which makes it a lie. But the truth is this, that there is power in life and death could not hold him.

Verse four, however, however, however, many of those who heard the word believed and the number of the men came to be about 5,000. The work went on despite of the opposition. Despite the opposition, however, hey, Bryce was knocked down. He's my friend in the back row there. However, this happened. Or David was beat down and things didn't go well. Put your name there.

Was struck down. However, the work of the Lord continued on. And I want to say, however, is a great word for you to think about and to own. That this is happening, this is happening, however, my God will be praised. However, I will share the word of God. However, I will walk in joy. However, I will breathe life in. However, I will decide to enjoy my life and the presence of my Father because we have a good, good Father.

And would you guys, I know you have another song lined up. Play that song afterwards again, Olin, would you? Just play good, good Father at the end of the service and you'll scrap the one you had if you would, please. I'm the boss. I can do that. However, the work went on. Why did it go on? Because it was spoken. Romans 10, 14. And in verse 4, it says, many of those who heard the word.

Go to verse 4 there at the bottom of the notes there. However, many of those who heard the word believed. The work went on, however, because someone had shared the message. You are the message. You are the curriculum. You are the book. You are the testimony. You are the tablet that God has written his story upon and we must share that story over and over and over again wherever we are.

and the way that we live our lives in such a powerful way. Fired up today. Romans 10, 14. How then will they call? That means those people. Let's think about those souls. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him on whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how will they call upon him in whom they have not believed?

How are they going to call on him? Because you know what? This world is desperate and they need someone to call on and they don't know who to call. The world is desperate and they don't know who to call. And how are they to believe in him in whom they have never heard? How can they believe if they have not heard? That's why it's God making himself known. First of all with light in Genesis.

Light. God made himself known with light. The fact that God let us know who he was. We could have been created and never known who God is and he made himself known with the creation. He says, this is who I am and he shows it like Romans says in Romans chapter 2. The creation. This is who I am and this is why people worship creation. This is why naturalists will worship creation.

Paul talks about it in Romans 2. They see the world and they see the glory of it but they can't see beyond it. See, the world is there as an image of a good father. And as we look at the world we see God because it says in the world in creation in Romans chapter 2 that we see the divine nature and the invisible qualities of God. That everything you look at that has been created has a reason and that reason speaks to who God is.

It speaks to his nature. It speaks to his character. And how are they to believe in whom they have never heard? And he's made himself known through the light. Then he made himself known through giving his name and showing his presence and walking in the garden. And then he gave us his word. And then he gave us his son to be even more well known. And then he gave us the Holy Spirit that he might not be on the outside of us but might indwell us in complete intimacy.

That God might be made one and unified. And so if you look at human sexuality it is meant to show the very nature of God that God wants to be united with you that you'll never be alone. And the final verse says this. And how are they to hear without someone preaching? We've got to preach. We've got to share the story. We've got to share the story whether it be offensive but it's offensive but it's good news.

And then finally go to verse 8. I'm going to skip verse 6. I felt like I was supposed to just give you that to do some special time on your own. But in verse 8 then then there's another word we have however and we have then. These are transitionary words. Do you know your life your life is built upon the transitions the forks that come in your road and which one you choose to take.

This happened to me today but then I got up and I went and spent time with my father. But then I got up and I soaked myself in the world. But then Daniel went and opened the windows of his door even though he had been told that he would be killed if he preached and he stood up where everyone could see him and then Daniel prayed to his God where everyone could see him then.

However after this then however transition to transition to transition and what you do in your transitions is going to define your life. Define your transitions with the hope of God or if you're going to come in and woe me this always happens to me what we believe in our heart so we are the scripture says. And as the heart speaks as the heart thinks the mouth speaks and so the things that we speak but we want to speak life jump into life then Peter he made a decision then he was filled and off your transitions God often shows up.

You take you take a step towards God you give God an inch he'll take an eternity you see you give God an inch he'll take an eternity and so you say then then I am going to praise the Lord and in that moment you get filled you get filled the other day I was feeling overwhelmed how am I going to manage everything in my life and I was going to jump into work and the Lord said go spend time with me so then I went and spent time with him and I just read five minutes of scripture and I got to Psalm 1819 or 1918 and it says and then the Lord led me into a spacious place because he delighted in me and the peace of God filled me and I had about seven to ten days of perfect peace perfect peace things going on bombs going off bomb interesting all I did was go outside and read the Bible and then God gave me ten days of peace I'll take it it's a good trade Acts 3 6 then it's finished God gives Peter what he needs in this moment let's ask the worship team to come up what's your moment what are you in the midst of what's going on in your life that you're then you're however needs to be different we're going to go to the father right now in prayer and in worship and we're going to talk about a good father and we're going to invite him into the midst of that we're going to invite him into the midst of that let's stand Lord God we want to thank you Jesus for this message you're a good good father you're a kind father and you you made your word known to me today I need this message God we need this message you you
