the blessing. He removed the requirement. I want to encourage you, if you've never tithed to your church on a regular basis, pick a percent. If you've never tithed before, pick one percent. If you make 100 grand, that's 70 bucks a month. Tithe it to your local church, even if it's not this one. Tithe it to your local church and then try to add one percent every single year. Every single year. If we did that, the amount of revolutionary change that congregations, ourselves included, could make would dramatically change this city and beyond. Amen? If you would stand, we're going to take communion today and invite our communion host forward.
We're going to invite you to come forward, receive the communion, and then after you receive the communion, go back to your seat and we're just going to meditate on the word of the Lord, on the broken body and bread, and then we will take it together. If you have not followed Jesus before, you haven't made a decision to follow Jesus, we encourage you, the scripture encourages you to wait until that.
There's no shade. You can wait until the next time if you decide to make a decision to follow Jesus. Let me pray and then we'll invite you forward. Lord Jesus, bless our time of reflection now as you speak to us about the Barnabas heart, the Barnabas spirit, Lord God, that ultimately follows the Holy Spirit and the heart of Jesus, the immaculate heart of Jesus. We bless you, Lord. Bless this communion time.
