When they came to Jerusalem They were welcomed by the church and the apostles and elders To whom they reported everything God had done through them Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees Stood up and said The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses The apostles and elders met to consider this question After much discussion Peter got up and addressed them Brothers You know that some time ago God made a choice among you That the Gentiles might hear from my lips The message of the gospel and believe God who knows the heart Showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them Just as he did to us He did not discriminate between us and them For he purified their hearts by faith Now then Why do you try to test God By putting on the necks of Gentiles A yoke that neither we nor our ancestors Have been able to bear No We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus That we are saved Just as they are The word of the Lord The word of the Lord I have nothing to do with that one at all I want to thank Jeff and the team I was away camping in a dirty dusty campsite for a week in Yosemite while they did that So let me just pray as we move into part two We did it last summer Looking at the missionary journey First missionary journey of Paul We're going to look at the second missionary journey now Let me just pray Lord Jesus I want to thank you God For your goodness and your grace And how you have called us to go To make a difference God in the world Just like Paul Speak to each of our hearts Put it on our minds and our hearts and our souls Our neighborhoods Our neighbors And those that we care for In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit Amen We're in the second missionary journey from Paul It is AD 49 through about 51-52 And you're going to see a map right now Of last year We went through the first missionary journey That is in blue A little bit smaller One of the things you will know and notice from this Is that as you are faithful To presenting the mission of Jesus To going and making disciples That's the last thing Jesus said Go and make disciples As you are faithful to that You will notice often That your territory expands That as you are faithful God gives you more territory He expands your territory As you're faithful with your home God will oftentimes give you the ability To bless other families Other people in your neighborhood And so we see Paul now Moving up into Macedonia And different areas And you can look at that I know it's kind of a small map But we looked He went to Crete And Cyprus last time Into modern day Turkey He went back to visit the churches And then he went to new places as well We're going to look at that Over the next eight weeks With once again Asking you Where are you going Every day you go on a missionary journey Is the first stop Maybe is not Crete But maybe it's Starbucks Or maybe it's Pete's Or maybe it's Better Buzz Or one of the other coffee houses And then you go to work Wherever you go Every day can be treated Like a missionary journey If we have the ability To follow Christ As we go You can take that map down Now one of the things That this message Or this journey starts with Is this second missionary journey Starts with a dispute Starts actually with two disputes The first missionary journey ends And then there is this This period where there is a dispute We're going to talk about that today Because this dispute Almost hinders The second missionary journey Say one of the reasons Many of us Don't have a plan To reach our neighborhoods To reach our city To reach our world Is because we are so consumed With the chaos And the hindrances In our life That we never get beyond it You've got to have your act together Not in grace Obviously But you actually have to have Some way To get away from the chaos Away from the mire In order to go out And to look at someone else Besides yourself This is what Paul does Paul actually makes it Through the first conflict And we saw it here A bunch of believers Or other certain people Certain believers Came down And they started a controversy They took the gospel And they bent it They said that the gospel Isn't just about Jesus It's about all the old rules And rituals And accoutrements Think of a Christmas tree And the different decorations That you put on it What often people want to do When it comes to salvation And they do it today Is say that we need to Add another thing Just like you add a decoration To your Christmas tree We need to add another thing What Paul says And what this council Because they had to have a council They got all the church together This was such a big disagreement That they had to have this council In between the first journey And the second journey They had to deal with conflict As a church And as a people And that's something Many churches Get mired in conflict And they never meet their mission Because of the conflict One of the same things Is actually true For us as individuals Sometimes we have so much conflict We have so much chaos In our life So many things that hinder us That we never get on About the mission That Jesus called us to The very last thing That he said Go and make disciples You can easily know right now If you are going And making disciples If you can list on one hand Even one finger The disciple that you are making Who is the disciple That you are making And no men That's not your wife That doesn't count Okay Don't use that as an answer Who are you actually making And wives That's not your husband Okay Who is that disciple That you are making Who are you raising up in Jesus If the answer is goose egg Then at this moment You are actually not Living out the commission To go and make disciples You'll see in your notes In the box It says this The enemy of the church Especially the church Because this is about unity The enemy of the church And of our souls Makes his dwelling In disorder Discontent And division The enemy of the church The enemy of our souls Wants to bring chaos You saw Chris had a song About chaos Makes his dwelling in disorder Discontent and division I could ask you Is your life Marked by peace Unity and joy Or is it more often Marked by disorder Discontent and division In between the first Missionary journey There might not have been A second missionary journey If this conflict Had not been resolved And so the opening part Of this message The first two weeks Of this series Is about dealing with Conflict Dealing with chaos So that you can get About the mission Because there's actually Two conflicts that happen Before the second missionary Journey begins The first Is this church conflict Are we going to add something To what Jesus did on the cross Do you have to believe in Jesus And have your right Understanding of works Or even today Certain churches believe That if you don't have A certain ideology About justice Or whatever the idea is They have to add it What this council found out As we'll see in a moment That it is by grace alone That we are saved And there was a large Large disagreement And they had to have a council The second disagreement Is a personal disagreement Paul gets ready To go on this trip He said let's go on a trip Let's go back And see these old churches And hang out And his best friend Barnabas Is right there by his side Barnabas was with him In the first When he started arguing With these believers So if you go to verse 2 It says This brought Paul and Barnabas So it's his best buddy Into sharp dispute And debate with them So when these certain people Came down Before we had a church council To talk about it Paul and Barnabas Side by side Fought against this together Right after they decide We're going to go back On our second missionary journey Paul and Barnabas Get into a disagreement Matter of fact The disagreement is so sharp That it breaks their friendship And they part ways Now the gospel Ends up being furthered Because God works together For all things For God For God For all things work together For good For those that love God And are called according To his purpose There it is Sometimes it's like You had said this verse And you got to go find it But you weren't preparing To say it So that's the one So God works it out But there's two conflicts This is what we're talking about Before we start This is what the core Of these first two weeks Are about How do you deal with conflict Now when I was at Azusa Pacific Which was an incredible Theology School of theology That I went to My very first class Was with a guy Named Earl Grant His nickname was Earl the Pearl Earl was a huge Lakers fan So he would always Talk Lakers But he was a missionary And he had pictures Of himself like on camels In the Middle East Like in the 70s Just in Burma All these places Where he was bringing The gospel It was Earl the Pearl Everyone looked up To Earl the Pearl I remember I sat in class It was my first day And it was up on Horizon's old campus And I sat there And I got my little books And I had all my folders And everything And he got up And he said The first thing I ever heard In seminary He got up And the first thing He said Got up to his pulpit And he said The key To longevity In ministry Is conflict resolution That's what he said The key to longevity In ministry Is conflict resolution I never forgot that And I believe That God shared that With me for a reason Because The reason we often Don't have longevity In marriage The reason we don't We have The average pastor Stays in a pulpit 2.5 years Hard to get something done In 2.5 years The reason we have So much turnover In relationships Is because We don't have The ability To resolve conflict Satan runs from unity Satan runs from unity So as a church And as a people For the next two weeks We're going to look About unity We're going to look At the scriptures And see that How we can find unity That we can be The kind of people Who can actually Get about the mission Of going and making disciples If you don't have unity In your marriage It's going to be difficult To go and make disciples It's going to be Incredibly difficult If you don't have unity In your workplace It's going to be difficult Not only to get A good business done But also to go And make disciples And so we're going To talk about that Now if you look At your notes It says the principles Of unity There's two that I have there That I want to bring Knowing that Jesus Also said if a kingdom Is divided against itself That kingdom cannot stand We even know that Satan himself Cannot stand If he's not unified It says here's the principles Today There's two principles For this message Number one Not every hill Is worth dying on Okay Not every hill Is worth dying on And number two Godly decisions Are rarely made In a silo By silo I mean alone Two things So as you go forward This week Looking at Maybe you're in a conflict Right now with somebody One Not every hill Is worth dying on And two Godly decisions Are rarely made In a silo One of the things That I recognize When I do marriage I don't do a lot Of marriage counseling We have a counseling center For that But I do a little bit One of the things I realize with couples Very soon If I know that there's A lot of problems If the couples Don't let each other Talk The one couple Once somebody Starts saying something That's not how it was And they're going Back and forth It's like When I realize That they are dying On every single hill No he put this Over here No it wasn't on the counter It was on the top Of the refrigerator No it wasn't on the top Of the refrigerator Dude do not die On that hill I'm like When I see that happening One of the things I realize is that Wisdom Is one of the most Important things That you can use In deciding What you will stand up for And what you will let go When we come to This situation here Certain believers Had come And they had actually Shared something That was a hill Worth dying on In point one You'll see this It says Not every hill Is worth dying on But this one was This one was important Because they were Adding something To the gospel Not every hill Is worth dying on And the second one Is godly decisions Are rarely made In a silo Now before we start I just want to Set up context Before we get back To the scripture Which we're going to We're going to look At these certain people That brought this False teaching That bent the gospel Before we get to that And we look at How to deal with conflict There's a couple things I want to set up To help you think Through your own lives And the first is this Peace and unity Are undervalued commodities In our society Think that one of the things That we don't often value Is peace How much do you value Peace in your life And do you give peace away Because you want more I said one of the best ways To have peace in your life And contentment Is to want less I say that all the time Want less Do you value peace And is it a commodity That you value There's two verses That I love As we talk about division One of the things That will help you With conflict Is knowing what hill To die on But also loving And valuing peace Proverbs 15 7 Says this Better a small serving Of vegetables With love Than a fattened calf With hatred There's a lot of scriptures That say that Better a little With peace Than a lot With strife Jesus even said Blessed are what Blessed are the peacemakers That if you are a person That brings peace Then you are a peacemaker And you will be blessed For they will be called What?
Children of God So here's the question Before we jump into that scripture Do you love peace and unity? Do you love peace and unity? If you love peace and unity You will find that you will be Mostly surrounded by peace and unity In your notes You'll see a quote I wrote It says We live in a culture That surrenders its peace For its pleasures And unity For self-congratulating Solidarity We don't want unity We live in a culture That says Whatever I think is true Whatever I think Is what matters the most And I will give away peace With others So that I can have What I want It's often times pride We live in a culture That surrenders its peace For its pleasures Maybe you are surrendering Your peace For your pleasures And unity I would say for pride Or self-congratulating Solidarity All right Let's go to point one And verse one Certain people came down From Judea To Antioch And were teaching The believers Unless you are circumcised According to the custom Taught by Moses You cannot be saved This brought Paul and Barnabas Into sharp debate with them I said at the beginning Here at the point one Not every hill is worth dying on But this one was Why?
Because the gospel is clear That you can do nothing To earn salvation You can do nothing To earn salvation You don't have to have Enough works You don't have to do good There's none of these things That you can do Only by belief In Jesus Christ alone Christ crucified And belief in his resurrection From the dead His blood on the cross Set you free That is it The problem is Is that the church Was in transition We have to be careful As we transition When you transition From living with your parents To going to college Transitions Can often times Cause struggle It can be difficult And you often times Need wisdom During transition The church here Is in transition It's been 2,000 years In a sacrodotal system A system that God set up That Paul even says there In that scripture Didn't work That you had to do These sacrifices Because a perfect sacrifice Had not been made And so there was all these rules And one of the rules was You need to be circumcised This is a Identification For the Jewish males That show that you were part You had to have These different things That you did You had to offer goats You had to offer You know bulls You see all of this In the old system And God set up that system One because there needed To be a system To have any bridge To talk to God But he also set it up To show that it didn't work Paul actually says that And so Jesus dies On the cross Things are going well They've done a first Missionary journey And all of a sudden And I love how it says this It says certain people It doesn't say Really well respected teachers From Jerusalem came It doesn't say That you know This person who knew this Or a rabbi came It just says certain people Had been thrown into the mix And when they were thrown Into the mix They came and they bent The gospel The gospel is very simple It's Jesus Christ crucified There is nothing that we can add At all to be saved It is just Jesus Christ crucified Certain Verse 15 Certain people came down From Judea to Antioch And were teaching the believers And then there's a word right there Unless Circle unless Unless This is the accoutrement This is the decoration I don't know about you But I sometimes go into prayer And I get ready to pray And I feel like Oh I haven't done good enough I can't really pray today And all of a sudden All my faults And sometimes I'll just Get up and stop praying I'll just feel so guilty So whatever it is Or something That if I could just Get that figured out If I could just be nicer If I could just be more gentle I'm not the most gentle I'm not I just understand that One of my favorite verses Is you know Let your gentleness Be evident for all You know Boldness isn't really a problem But gentleness is On occasion Not all the time But on occasion And so one of the things I'll think is Oh I'm not this I'm not that And if I just could get That one thing fixed Unless Then God would say Sit down We can sup together You can pray to me Then I'll really answer Your prayers No That's not the gospel The gospel says You don't need A sacrifice You don't need To do anything You are accepted As you are Because Of the blood of Jesus And this is heretical To a transitioning church That for 2,000 years Has been doing sacrifice You have to live According to this You have to wash your hands A certain amount You have to do this You have to do that For 2,000 years I know as Christians In 2022 It's easy to look back And think Are you serious You guys still thought That you had to do that You have to realize They've been doing it For 2,000 years America has been here 250 years 2,000 years 1,500 years at least With Moses Of this sacramental system That was now being broken Because Jesus had died On the cross And so they said Then some believers Who belonged to the party Of the Pharisees Stood up And they agreed with them So then They're in the church Certain people came down Right But they actually convinced Some Jewish believers Who were still Pharisees So you had people Who were Pharisees Who had been saved Who were still going To synagogue But they were still Showing up to church Like this There was house churches They would show up And so they had this meeting And all of a sudden Some of the believers Who were Pharisees You can understand Why they would think this If you go down To verse 11 Sorry Verse 5 Then some of the believers Who belonged to the party Of the Pharisees Stood up and said The Gentiles Must be circumcised And required To keep the law of Moses Now if you're new to church What is a Gentile?
Anybody that's not a Jew Anybody that's not a Jew Whether you're You're from Ireland You're an Aboriginal In Australia Anyone who is not a Jew Is a Gentile And so certain believers Came down And they put a heresy In the church Now it's understandable Because once again They're coming from A 1500 year system Of sacrifice Jesus died on the cross So that we do no longer Have to sacrifice You are good before God And if you sit before God And say I believe In my heart That you are Jesus That you died on the cross For me And your blood Set me free from my sins And you are returning again That I might live In eternity with you If you believe that In your heart You confess it With your mouth You will be saved The hardest part for me Is believing it Like I believe it Systematically I believe it But does it translate To my prayer life?
This is really important And let's go back To the main concept Of how we live in How we overcome conflict With others And within the church If you don't live In personal grace For yourself It's going to be real hard To have it for others You see the grace That you have For your daughter When she's really struggling And not doing the things That you want her to do The grace that you have For your neighbor When they are not doing The things that you wish That they would do Directly Will be directly correlated To the grace That you have For yourself You've got to have Grace for yourself You've got to have Grace through Jesus It's his grace Not yours But to step into it When you can sit And say God I'm a sinner But saved by grace And give yourself grace And say that I don't need to measure up I don't need There's nothing I can do But you accept me As I am When you enter Into a conflict With somebody else With that as your Core belief About yourself You know You're going to be A lot You're going to have A lot more grace To understand And empathize Where the other person is So these other believers Though stand up And they belong To the party of the Pharisees A lot of people Believers don't know That today That there were Pharisees Who were part of the church People had different Belief systems This is a very radical This is probably One of the most radical Groupings of people You could ever have It would be like Taking two aisles Of the political spectrum Today Which you know How divided Our political spectrum Is today And putting them All together in a church And say figure it out I mean imagine that No what we've done Is we've just done this And that's what Satan wants Satan wants us To detach with a hatchet He wants us to Make people anathema He wants to separate people Why?
Because when people Are separated He can attack them Just like he does On those YouTube videos Where the lion is After that one little antelope You know Where he can separate And attack them Unity There is power in unity And unity comes from grace If you want to have Conflict resolution If you want to have longevity If you want to survive In a marriage If you want to survive In a relationship With your children If you want to survive With your neighbors Start with grace For yourself Because grace Will lead towards Being empathetic To those that are with you But at the same time They were preaching A false gospel And I said Sometimes not every You know You don't need to die On every hill But this one Was worth dying for Why?
Because it was a bent gospel I will say That it takes wisdom To know Which hills to die on Because if you never Die on any hill Eventually there's no more Hills to die on And you just live In the valley There are some things And I am very clear In my life What hills I want to die on The things that matter to me The purity of children Raising up children In purity And in the way That they should go I will die on that hill For the sanctity of life I will die on that hill There are things Of the hills That I will die on For my marriage I will die on that hill For my children For on and on My problem is Ben Putting the flag of You know In a hill That I don't want to die on Charging up a hill That the Holy Spirit Has not gone to yet You see This was a hill That Paul and Barnabas Knew we'd die on this hill This is a doctrinal hill That salvation Does not exist If they don't die On this hill And there are many churches Today That are preaching A social gospel That if you Care for all people Then you can be saved By if you care for people Satan would love it If we give Care for every single person And never share The gospel of Jesus Christ They will get care In this world And end up separated From God For eternity So they stood up Paul says no Verse 11 No Great word Great word Sometimes You need to say No Make sure the Holy Spirit Told you to say it And you went there first We believe it is through Grace in our Lord Jesus Christ That we are saved That's verse 11 Just as they are He said just as the Jews And the Gentiles Were put together And he gives He says they got the Holy Spirit We got the Holy Spirit That's his proof The proof of the Holy Spirit He was desperate for unity This is a guy Who was lauding over An entire population He was a Jew of Jews He was the most respected He even killed believers He was the highest On the totem pole Paul talks about this In Corinthians When he talks about How much he had done For the Jewish faith It didn't matter to him anymore What mattered to him Was sharing the message Of grace with others Have you detached With a hatchet From certain people Sometimes we need boundaries Some people are unsafe Okay so let's say that Sometimes we need that Sometimes we need separation For one reason or another But if you just detach With people And they no longer Are in the boat of people That you can reach They no longer Are in the group of people That you have been called To go and make disciples Because you disagree With their politics Or you disagree For whatever reason it is Have you died on a hill Has that relationship Died on a hill That wasn't worth dying on That the Holy Spirit Never took the hill I love watching These war movies Sometimes And you'll see This one brave Like you know Saving Private Ryan You know One guy Or woman Will run forward And everyone Will follow after that But it's that one person Who takes the hill I want to make sure That the first person Who goes Is the Holy Spirit I want to make sure When there's a Issue in the church When there's a problem Are we going to die On that hill If you have worked With me long enough And you have been here And you've been on The elder staff Or on the team You will know That when it comes To church work I choose not to die On many hills There are many hills Where I've let things go Over and over Now I do feel like The Lord is saying To me recently There comes a point Where you're enabling Where eventually You have to say no Enough is enough But those are very rare And unity is so important In the church I love unity So let's go to the next one Number two Final one As we come in For a landing Circle the tower God's decisions Might just be a flyby Like Maverick actually Godly decisions Are rarely made In a silo Look at verse 2b Halfway through verse 2 So Paul and Barnabas Were appointed Among some other believers To go up to Jerusalem To see the apostles And elders About this question Paul didn't just Have the idea On his own And make all the decisions On his own Paul was surrounded By a group of godly And wise believers He didn't make decisions In a silo Granted sometimes He was alone He wrote He was The Holy Spirit led And Paul was different Than us He was apostle With a capital A So there were things That he wrote On his own But when it came To making a decision And this is so important Especially with big decisions Let me just give you A little wisdom That was given By Pastor Mark Foreman My former pastor I was head pastor He was head pastor Of North Coast Calvary Chapel He always said to me Time is your friend Time is your friend He said time is your friend Take time to make decisions If you have a major decision Take time It's okay to make To hang out But the other My executive pastor Always said When it comes to a decision He goes Never on a Friday I said what He goes I don't make hard decisions On Fridays I don't want to ruin my weekend I thought that's great There's been so many times Where I'm like It's Thursday night I'm not making that decision We'll make that decision On Monday When I'm hitting the ground Running and I'm ready to go You know I don't want to be on Saturday You know So important though That they had this group Of believers What did they do When there was a tough question This was a big question What do you do When you have a big decision To make Do you get alone And think it out One of the worst things Well one of the best things You can do Is get alone with the Holy Spirit And sit But sitting away from the Holy Spirit And just trying to strategize The answer in your mind That's That's how we go crazy Right You have a big decision to make You separate yourself From everybody You don't seek God And then you just go And you lay in bed And it just goes over And over And you're like I can out strategize I can you know Strategize myself Out of this issue No there is a plan To make good decisions And when you When you work with other people To make hard decisions Especially when there's a conflict You will have more longevity In relationships One of the best things Carrie and I have like a You know What do you call it An ejection seat For our arguments Most of our arguments I don't think we ever argue Over like three minutes Like seriously If it goes to three minutes One of us will usually say You know what Let's call Corrine And that's our counselor She's on our team here She's up in Carmel Valley She's amazing Let's call Corrine And let's go talk about this With a third party And then we stop Married people Okay It It's always in August right Look at he loves me Do I smell that bad I'll tell you Married people Parents Dating people If your argument Goes And you're just arguing For more than like Three minutes It might be time To call a time out The longer an argument goes The more mistakes I make You don't have to Keep arguing it One of the things That doesn't mean you You deny it But you say You know what Can I go seek some Counsel on this Can we go seek some Counsel on this Can we have some time Time is your friend Time is your friend As you do As you move in So this is what they did I'll give you two Proverbs Proverbs Excuse me Yeah Proverbs 11 14 I love the Proverbs For lack of guidance A nation fails Falls But victory is won Through many advisors Victory And it's the right advisors By the way And then The next one is Proverbs 3 7 Do not be wise In your own eyes Fear the Lord And shun evil I was Talking to somebody The other day And I was like I've been reading Proverbs a lot I'm getting pretty wise And I was like Oh Why did they Come out of my mouth Why did I say that Because there's a Proverb That actually says If you say that you're wise You're a fool Like you know what I mean It's like Ah You know But the Proverbs Gives you wisdom James 1 5 or 6 Says When you don't know What to do Ask God for wisdom He will give you wisdom What is your plan When you have conflict Or do you just love conflict Some people love conflict They cannot They grew up in a family That couldn't survive Without conflict Whenever there's a moment Of peace They gotta cause conflict Because they don't know How to feel alive Without conflict Peace is a commodity And most people Don't want peace You know why Because peace Is kind of boring I don't know if you I said that And Dick Cotton's wife Evie got back to me She goes If you're peaceful You're not gonna be bored And I'm all I know And I appreciate her I know that when I get contented I'm like I gotta go do something right now I gotta go I gotta go make a mess I gotta go do You know what I mean Just to sit And to have peace It's an undervalued commodity Alright Here's three takeaways For you today In regard to this scripture How Paul dealt with conflict Before we move into Actually taking off On this journey with Paul We're getting ready For the journey right So as you get ready For the next eight weeks To care for your neighborhood Three important things One Die on no hill Not first initiated By the counsel Of the spirit of God Die on no hill You know what I mean By die on no hill Like put your boots In the ground You're just gonna You'll break the relation I'm talking Those major hills And don't turn a mole You know A mole hill Into a mountain Die on no hill Not first initiated By the counsel Of the spirit of God When you know That the Holy Spirit Is charged You know in your heart That the Holy Spirit Is charged up that mountain And he's like You coming?
Yeah I'm coming That's the hill That you die on But if that hill There's no Holy Spirit If the Holy Spirit Isn't up on that hill Don't take it first You're not the one Use counsel And wisdom Seek Do I die on this hill Do I let this go Oh they're gonna Cheat me out of $22 I'm gonna And then you spend You know Something happens At a business You know And you got I don't know Whatever it is And you spend The next three weeks Of your life On the phone And you're just Ruined your whole life For $22.76 You know what I mean It's just like Let it go sometimes Just fine Be with you know Sometimes that's just pride We have to do that So don't go there Unless the Holy Spirit says Number two Surround your life With a fellowship Fellowship Not just one A fellowship Of wise and godly counsel Do you have A group of people Who you run with Who are not fools When I was 19 And I was doing drugs I remember Looking around one day And I realized I'm surrounded by fools And I thought If I'm surrounded by fools Who's the king of the fools That's me And I thought I need to change my friends I don't want To be this person anymore I want wise counsel And I've gotten to the point At 52 years old 53 next month That I have a group Of five to seven people Even more That I can call Pastor Jim is one of them I call him For my sage advice He has so often Give me a little tweak To go We're going to go left here I'm like yeah I call him I'll just send him a text Need some sage advice I'll meet you at Broken Yoke Wednesday Sage advice Because he's like Gandalf You know what I mean Do you have a fellowship Who's your Are you surrounded by fools If you're surrounded by fools Ask yourself Who's the king of the fools Or queen Might be you Saying Number three Practice living by grace Live by grace Let God love you Sit before God When you have grace You will have less conflict Live by grace Understand that people Have their own issues They're coming from a place They have difficulties Live by grace It is by grace alone That we are saved This is how we get ready To win our neighborhoods This is how we get ready To make disciples By learning how to deal With this conflict And move forward This is what we found In the scripture Amen Let's stand if you would I want to bless you Today If you want to extend your hands I'm going to bless you I'm going to bless you With peace and unity Jesus you say Where the brothers Dwell together In unity Is like dew Running down their beard And there's this freshness Lord God And it's sweet And I pray for unity In our families today If we've been convicted By this word Let it not convict us To a point where it Separates you That we feel Like we've let you down God But let us draw us Closer to you We want unity In our own hearts With you And if you've never Made a decision To follow Jesus You want that in your heart Just in your own heart today To say Jesus I want more of you If there's a hill Lord That they have gone to If there's any hill That you've gone to Without the Holy Spirit Just surrender the hill And if there's a hill God's calling you to I pray that he would Bless you with the courage To take that hill May you be blessed today May you be blessed With his grace With his peace With his provision And with margin In your life For the boundary lines Fall in pleasant places For those that love God God may you extend The boundary lines And may you bless These people With a vision Beyond themselves For a missionary journey That starts the moment They walk off this campus We bless you now And send you now In the name of the Father Son and the Holy Spirit
