Now, concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying there is peace and security, then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers for that day to surprise you like a thief.

For you are all children of light. Children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. This is the word of the Lord. Well, good morning. Welcome to Sea Change Church. And uh, man, it was exciting to see all the things that God is doing, uh, in our church. I mean, this campus was packed with little ones this week here in the gospel having a blast.

Um, the camp last week, all the high schools that are going up faith clubs in Africa, college Group on Tuesday nights or Wednesday nights, excuse me, God is moving here. And I wanna say thank you for your partnership in all of that. And one of the challenges we have before we dive into this scripture is it says that the harvest is plentiful, but sometimes the workers are few, right? And so what we are looking for is we're looking for harvesters.

I saw some of you parents out there. I saw the Netherlands. I saw a whole bunch of others that were out there, uh, just harvesting this week. They were out in the fields working with little kids, being here, moving water, cleaning up, sweeping, just doing the work of the kingdom. And there was so much opportunity right now, I don't know if you see it or if you're aware of it, but God's hand is upon this time. God's hand is upon this nation in this time, I believe.

And God's hand is upon, I believe San Diego churches in San Diego. And this church in particular, you are a part of it. We need harvesters. We need people that don't want to just be pew sitters, people that want to step up and be a part of some of the things that God has called us to as a church. So lemme just tell you what a couple of those are. One is our, um, Spanish language, and it's gonna be multi-language initiative.

Raul Alvarado, you'll meet him in a couple weeks. We'll be up here. He's coming on board to lead all those languages. And so with the ai, we're gonna be using that. We're gonna have Chinese language, we're gonna have people, um, Spanish language we're, this is what heaven's gonna look like, right? It says from every tribe and every what nation and every tongue. It says every tribe, every nation, every tongue will be represented in heaven.

We want our church to look like heaven, right? So this is just one initiative. If you have a passion for languages, if you're a language teacher, if you just have a passion for cultures, talk to Alva Raul, he'll be up there. Another one is our pop-up church initiative. God is calling us to Claremont. He's made that clear to us. We're gonna be there next week at the 11 o'clock service. I'll be preaching that service up there with the second part of this message.

If you have a heart for San Diego for going out, for being in the Claremont area, we are eventually gonna be moving up there more and more. But we're up there a few times more this year. And then weekly coming up in, uh, next year. Pastor Joshua leads that initiative. If you just want to hang out with Pastor Joshua, which I want to do, and you have a heart for evangelism and taking a new community for Christ, boom, that is another one that you can be a harvester in that as well.

And so there's a whole bunch of different opportunities, faith clubs, leaders as for, for, um, for high school, a whole bunch of different things that are happening. So now is the time. Now is the season. Today we're moving into a new series. It's just two weeks super quick. It's called God Time. And we're talking about living on time, knowing what God is doing in the midst of the TikTok time of your life, of the, in regard to your clock time, what God's doing every day in your life, and what is God doing in the seasons of your life.

So many of you, I've seen you move into harvest seasons, seasons where the fruit is low hanging fruit, right? And all of a sudden you're making those strides in your life that you've wanted to see. You have that relationship, you have that health, you have that sobriety that you were able to finally attain, but seemed so unattainable before God moved in a moment. And in that moment, you harvest, the Bible is full of this type of speaking, of being faithful in the, in the long, drawn out moments out of our lives.

And they would call that the, the, the Chronos movies, uh, moments. The Greek word is chronos. That means, uh, chronological. It's where we get that word from. You're just, every day you're showing up, you're grinding, you're doing your thing, but are you doing the right thing? And the next thing is this, this moment, this kairos moment. Kairos moments are different. When Jesus came, it was called a kairos moment. Thousands of years had taken place.

God had been moving in the, in the slowness, in the modernity of the, of the moment of, of, of, of over time over the historicity. And then in a moment, Jesus comes and did they recognize it? That's what we're gonna be talking about. 'cause for two weeks, I believe this is probably two of the most crucial weeks of this, um, probably in regard to Sermonizing this entire year. It's been something God's been speaking to me about now for about two months.

And he wants me to tell the congregation you that God is going to give us and is giving us, we're currently seeing it in a season of harvest. We are in a kairos moment now as a church. Now how big, how much fruit is gonna be harvested? I don't know. But we're already beginning to see it and I don't want to miss it. And you need to be aware of it, not only for what we're doing as a church, but what God's doing in your life.

So lemme just ask you this question. How's your time going? How, how are, how are things? How do you, how do you, how are you? How are you doing with your time? Are you wasting a ton of time? Are you taking advantage of the time or are you doing too much in the time? God gives us days of Sabbath where he's saying, Hey, there's a time and I want a time to do nothing. Even Ecclesiastes says, there's a time for keeping and a time for giving away the times where you're just in Sabbath, you're sitting, you're resting.

And while you're doing that, in the midst of that, are you aware of what God's doing in your life? Do you have a sense of when he's walking on the water towards the boat that you are in, in the midst of a storm? Do you see him on the beach when he's calling you? Does he pass you in the marketplace? Do you walk by blind Bartimaeus on a regular basis? One of my favorite pictures is a picture of Jesus walking out of Jericho.

It's in the Timkin Timkin Gallery in Balboa Park. And if you wanna see a Rembrandt, San Diego has a Rembrandt. It's in the Timkin Gallery if you haven't seen it. And every time I go to Balboa Park, I try to step stop in just to look at a Rembrandt for free. It's a free museum. And there's one of my favorite pictures in there. It might be my favorite picture is a picture of Jesus walking out of Jericho. And all the disciples are in front of him and they're having this conversation.

They're all in bright robes. And then in the back, Jesus has been left behind because he's, he's healing someone who is blind, that is calling out to him as he leaves Jericho. Is that you? Are you John? Maybe John was in front. I didn't know which disciple was which. But you're in the, you're, you're moving forward, you're having great theological discussions, you're doing stuff. And in the midst behind you, Jesus is doing something else.

We want to be in step with Jesus. How do we do that? So we're looking at this today. I'm gonna read this passage. Go back into this Thessalonians passage. This passage in Thessalonians, like a lot of New Testament passages do, reflects an Old Testament passage. That passage is Ecclesiastes chapter three. You've heard it. There is a season turn, turn. Isn't that how it goes? And now that song goes not a big sixties, guys, is it like that?

Is it? That's it, yeah, I got it. All right, thank you. I listen to my sixties music a little bit. Jimi Hendrix on occasion, right? Verse one. Now concerning the what times circle, times end seasons. Times is Chronos. In this passage, seasons is kairos. Now, concerning the times and the seasons, these go together. Brothers, you have known, um, you have no need to have anything written to you. Powerful. He's writing to an entire church, a church that knows what's happening in the moment.

A church that knows what God is doing in the moment. And he says, re in regard to the times and the seasons to this church, I have nothing to say to you. I don't even need to write to you about it. Why? Because they're in step. They're aware. They're a praying church. They're a reading church, they're a listening church. They're a Sabbath keeping church. Because the Christians were keeping Sabbath as well. They knew when to rest and they knew when to prepare.

You have nothing to be written to you. Um, for you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. Now let me just say as a caveat, when you're speaking about kairos time, that's the seasons, right? The times has chronos chronological. Think of a watch piece. And the kairos times are the seasons. When the New Testament speaks about kairos, it's generally speaking about Jesus and the end times and the times when Jesus, when, when God will send his harvesters, as you see on the sing in chapel to come harvest souls.

Will we be aware of that time? And this is generally what it's speaking about. Two things can be true at once. When the Bible speaks about kairos, the moments of seasons of harvesting your life, it can mostly be pointing to the messianic scriptures of what Christ is doing. That's the most important thing in time, right? That when Jesus, when the creation, when Jesus came, which was the, the central apex of history, the crucifixion, and then as it plays out in that long procession that we follow and lead Christ into, into when he his second coming, this is the kairos that the Bible is mostly speaking about.

But two things can be true at once. That you also can have moments in your life that have more of a, I wouldn't say a touch because I think God is just as interested in the chronos of your life as he is about the kairos. But there are moments when God moves in and you realize that the fruit is hanging lower, the harvest is more plentiful, things get easier. You have breakthrough those breakthrough moments. And most of us are looking for those breakthrough moments.

I believe though we're living in a world now that wants breakthrough moments. They want harvest moments without fallow seasons. They want harvest moments without planting seasons. They want harvest moments without tending seasons. God is calling us. If you're going to have kairos in your life to be ones who know when a field should be fallow, that know when the seeds need to be planted, that know when to the seeds need to be watered.

And then knowing when to harvest. Because if you harvest too soon, you ever got that fruit at the, you ever get that peach, that pizza that they harvested like three weeks earlier and then they put it in a nitrogen tent. You know they do that with bananas. They put it in a nitrogen tent and then they pump a bunch of nitrogen and chemicals over it and it ripens the fruit, but it has no, has no nutrition. Doesn't taste the same. You ever get that pizza?

It never ripens. You ever get that? Never, never. No. No one, no one else gets that go. You go to Costco, you get that nectarine. It never ripens. Okay, well maybe I'm the only one that doesn't get nectarines. That ripen. You don't wanna harvest too soon. You have friends, right? I see people sometimes with somebody recently and they were frustrated that I wasn't sharing the gospel. They thought there was an opportunity.

And for me, I know this person, not the person that was with me, but also the person I've been sharing with. And I've just been feeling that now it's a little too soon, it's a little too soon to go hard. Uh, and to bring too much light where they might be blinded. So I've been slowly just kind of just fly fishing, you know what I'm saying? Just little, just hanging out. You know, there's other times we wait. We don't say what we're supposed to say when we're supposed to say it.

We don't do the thing that God has called you to some of you, God has said, Hey, I want you to do this mission. I want you to give here. I want you to go there. I want you to to do this. And we just wait and wait. I am a person who believes that we can miss seasons in our lives. We can miss kairos seasons. Other people don't believe that. Uh, they believe that if God's gonna do something, he's predestined. You can't miss it. I believe that we can miss it.

I believe we can miss salvation. I do believe in the free will of man. I don't think we're ought. You know, these, these, these automatons that are just robots of God. I believe we can miss it. But I also believe in grace. Romans 8 28 29 says, for, for, um, God causes all things to work for good, for those that love God and are called according to His purposes. So if you miss the season, God can bring another season.

He can redeem seasons. He can restore the years that the locusts have eaten away in your life. Go to verse one. Now, concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. Also, I'm just gonna ask you and just be honest with yourself. Do you need to have something written to you? Are you in step? Have you been watering? Have you been, have you been doing those different things?

Keyword today is faithfulness. Faithfulness. And the reason I say it's faithfulness is because k Chronos is preparation for kairos. If we're not being faithful in the moment, we can easily miss the time. The kairos, when God comes and says, I want to do this in your life now is God's sovereign. I wasn't doing a lot to, to get my life right And God reached in when I was a mess. When I was 19 years old, he just reached in and took me like a wet puppy, you know, and just shook me around, got me sober.

I don't know how it happened. I wasn't doing anything in preparation for that. I know people were praying. And so God, if he wants to do that, he can do that. So let me just say that if the devil wants you to walk outta here today, say, oh, you've missed it. You've missed your moment. No. All things work together for good, for those that love God and are called according to his purpose. And you wanna know what's great about God.

Time is you can get back on God time this moment. It takes only a moment to say, God, I want to be back on your time, back on your clock. Here's the watch off my arm. That doesn't work anymore. Let me look up to you and show me what that is. Here's the main idea. It says God does his deepest work not just in the moments of the kairos, those breakthrough moments, but in the long rhythm of Chronos daily life. Today we're talking about Chronos.

Next week is Kairos important sermon. It accidentally showed up, uh, on the week that I'm gonna be in Claremont, I'll be here at the nine 30 service and then I'll be at Claremont at 11. We'll be showing my 9:30 AM at 11 o'clock and won't affect most of you 'cause you're nine 30 peeps. Um, but it just how it showed up that I happen to be up in Claremont and I think it is, I think God's saying it is important as we go there, that this word speaks to us, speaks to what God is doing within this church.

Now, lemme just read that again. God does his deepest work. I would say God does some of his deepest work, not just in the moments of kairos breakthrough, but in the long rhythm of k Chronos daily life. We don't like K Chronos, do we? We don't like K Chronos as much. Boring. Get up, get the kids ready, put their shoes on, take them to school. Go to the gym. Come back from the gym. Eat your lunch. Right? It's even boring as I'm saying it.

Nighttime gotta come play with the kids. Maybe you're not good at playing. I really worked hard to be good at playing as a 50, 40-year-old. Like with my little kids. Those tuck, tuck moments, I've talked about those a lot of times to your parents. Tuck tucks, you only get so many tuck tucks at night. I wanted to do them well. And I realized every time it's so easy to not do a tuck tuck, right? Oh, you just put 'em to bed tonight? No, just the show's on.

We'll just do, we'll just make it quick. Just get 'em in there. Shove 'em in there. I had to work so hard not to miss those moments. And you know what I've realized that those tuck tucks, add up, those quiet times. Add up. Those Saturday morning prayer and pancakes that I would do with my C child children every Saturday added up. The 11 years that I showed up every single Friday, minus a few to be a playground dad in my children's elementary school and showed up on the campus and played.

I got smoked. I was so good at handball until they were about in fifth grade. And then I couldn't bend as low as they could and they would just crush me. It adds up, it adds up. Your quiet time adds up. Your prayer time adds up. This is how you water the ground. This is the faithfulness of how you sow the seeds. And when you're doing these things, you will see a harvest in your life at a time, at a certain time when God moves.

And so I wanna encourage you, there's three things. We'll, we'll go through 'em quickly. Chronos is preparation for kairos. Be faithful in the Chronos. Number three, keep the lights on. I'll talk about that in just a second. Go to verse one again. Now, concerning the times and the seasons. Let's say times and seasons. Times and seasons. Now you gotta do better than that. I gotta pretend like I'm miles McPherson right now, right?

Times and seasons. I like it times. Is that chronos? How are you using your times? How are you doing with those time? How faithful are you? I realize I waste a lot of time. I do a lot of distraction. I'm tired. I just want to, just want to get away. Take those moments just sitting there, you know, uh, on the news or whatever the thing is, just filling myself, filling my time, not using it as an opportune time. Now I'm not saying you need to be a grinder, right?

You got some grinders I put earlier, uh, this morning, I wrote down in my notes, it won't be in your notes. God's timing is not about as much about productivity as it is about opportunity. There are believers that feel if they're just grinding, they can't slow down. They, oh, I did my quiet time. I'm on that. You know, and they're just constantly working. It just becomes more of a mechanical thing sometimes. And it's good that you're doing those things.

But God's timing is not about production right now. We, we gonna produce right? And it's okay to produce. He has us produce things in our life. We produced a, a camp, Harry and the team and Kaleena and the team actually, 'cause Harry probably had nothing to do with it. Mostly Kaleena. Mostly Kaleena. They produced a great camp. It took a lot of work. But then there was a moment after all this work. The basketball up there, this big teddy bear thing, whatever that is, I think scares me behind me.

Tell me if that jumps at me. There was a moment where they said, Hey, this is the gospel about Jesus. And in that moment, harvest that camp was free. Why was it free? Because you sewed into the camp and we were able to offer it free. It's the largest camp we ever had because you sowed seeds of finance into it. Why did we take 40, 50 kids to a, a, a ski camp that cost 500 bucks a kid, but we were able to give it to 'em for 99 because you sowed seeds.

So we could have a kairos moment at that camp. And kids made decision to follow Christ, not just about finance. It's about prayer. It's about about showing up, it's about being faithful, about words of encouragement, sending that text to that person, lifting them up, raising up, using that in your time. I just want to encourage you, it's not about productivity, it's about opportunity. And there's opportunity every single day, even in the, the, the, the mundanity of your life.

And I did look that up to see if that was a real word 'cause I didn't think it was, but it is. Life is made mundane moms. My my wife was a stay at home mom. Little fingers under the bathroom door, you know, constantly Adam's out doing exciting things. He's on a trip somewhere, speaking on a stage. She's just home, just grinding, cleaning up eggs. Mundane. But she was there, but she was there. And it mattered in those moments.

Knowing the time keeps you on schedule, knowing what, what the day is. It's Sunday, we're at church. This is important. That's what keeps you on schedule. Knowing the seasons is what keeps you in step with what God's doing. So I wanna say with your chrono, with your chronos, I want to encourage you today to reevaluate your chronos. One of the ways you do that is you look at where your weak spots are. My weak spot's about four o'clock, five o'clock, get off work, tired.

You know? And I just had this weak spot also from like seven to about nine. I go to bed early and I'm old. I was in bed at eight o'clock one night this week. I I right? Eight o'clock. So I never thought that would happen, right? Usually 8:00 AM back in the day I'd get, get to bed. But I have these soft spots. I wanna encourage you, there's soft spots in our day, right? There's soft spots where you can change. I'm not saying that you have to go and well, I'm gonna do a three hour study from three till 10 at night and I'm really gonna redeem the time.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying, what are you doing with your time and where are those soft spots? Where's an opportunity? Maybe you go get your coffee somewhere every day. You just want to, you just wanna be left alone. Go get your coffee, do your thing. It's all about you. Maybe there's an opportunity there to redeem, to do maybe even do a little bit of harvesting in the midst of the chronos of your life. He says, you know, the times and the seasons when we live our times, well we have, we set ourselves up for the kairos moments of life.

And that was the main point. K Chronos is preparation for Kairos. My wife's a farmer. I dunno if you know this, during COVID, we had nothing to do. Remember those? Oh, COVID was weird, wasn't it? I remember just sitting there like, what do we do? You know? And so my wife decides not long after COVID starts that she's going to become a farmer, right? Fair enough. She's gonna become a farmer. And so she goes to San Diego City College online, does like a, the first year online, starts learning how to farm, gets really into it.

Does a second year, ends up getting a degree in farm, in urban agriculture. She's really into soil like super into dirt, right? She has a magnifying glass where she pulls the dirt out and looks at the, I don't know that we call it the biosphere or the microbiomes or whatever it is in our, in our soil. One thing I learned, she ended up getting a job at a, at a, um, a, a farm up in Encinitas. And she worked and she'd get there at five in the morning, rain or shy, and those farmers working freezing.

She'd send me pictures. She'd be out there doing the irrigation in sideways rain. We're gonna work today, moving the chickens, doing it all. Here's what I learned watching my wife being a farmer. The majority of farming is not harvesting. The majority of farming is preparing for the harvest. And then the other thing is waiting. The number one thing farmers do is wait. It takes a while to grow corn. It takes a while in these seasons.

And one of the things you're gonna see is God, even his creative revelation has shown us that he has seasons for a reason that wasn't on purpose, but it sounded rhymed. God has seasons for a reason and these seasons we're supposed to be faithful in what we're doing. Are you being faithful? Do you, are you just looking for the next thing that you can enjoy? The next dopamine hit? Is that the only chronos you have? It's like, oh, I just, you know, my, my mom always said, you know, on Wednesday, my mom, you know, she said, when I hear people say Wednesday, it's hump day.

Can't wait till the weekend. My mom would say, I'd hate that. Who wants to live like that? Oh, I just gotta get to the end of the weekend so I can just, you know, get my party on or whatever it is. No, we're not living in intention. Once again, I wanna lay it before you. How's your chron offs going? Have you really thought about that? When's your seasons of rest? If you're just a, if you're just producing, you're never resting.

God has commanded us to rest. He is, it is one of the, the main commandments that we have that, that rest. I'm gonna read, um, the definition of k Chronos and here it is, it's in your notes, refers to measured, sequential time, the ticking of a clock, the flipping of the calendar, the ongoing flow of seconds, minutes, hours, days, and years in those seasons in that waiting season, the definition of kairos, which is 86 times in the New Testament.

Now K Chronos is 54 times in the New Testament. Kairos is 86 times refers to the right opportune or appointed time. A god ordained moment when heaven's purposes intersect with your life, when heaven's purposes intersect with your life. Now that just doesn't mean, you know, when you have this revival season in your life says in the scripture that God has preordained for you. Good works for you to step into every single day.

There is at least one good work in your day, every single day. The question is, do you want it? See, the good work that I want is what I want. I wanna go to the clay oven and get my Indian, my Indian takeaway food. I want my next smoothie. I want to take my walk. I want to sit and not be bothered on my computer. 'cause I worked hard enough. Does that sound like any besides me? It's all about me. Opport, living in the chronos means sometimes doing what you don't want to do.

Lemme just say, let me just say it. It's probably the key to the k chronos often doing what you don't want to do. My wife did not want to be out there in the rain slicker. I remember it was January, I went and took a picture of her. I drove up there, I had to go bring her something and it was sideways rains. I had to go find her in the field. And that was so hard for me. I had to walk out. I actually had my little north face jacket and I had to go find her on, it's a big, it's big.

And it was scary. And, and then she was out there. She didn't wanna be out there doing that, but she was doing it. It is faithfulness. I had you write a word, faithfulness. How faithful are you with your time? I'm not trying to bring guilt to you. Don't want you to feel bad. If you want to get on God's time, you can do it. And there is, it is difficult to do, but it is just regularly living and saying, basically editing the things in your life that you think, Hey, I need to remove this from my life.

One of the best ways to deal with your chronos is just remove the things that you know shouldn't be in your chronos. Start there. Super easy. What is in your life that you need to remove? This is gone just or severely limited. I'm not saying you can't be making your TikTok dances millennial moms or whatever. Just kidding, sorry. Millennial moms. There's a few times, and lemme just 86 time where Kairos, that didn't hit very well, did it.

Kairos refers to the right opportune or appointed time. A god ordained moment when heaven's purposes intersect with your life. You see that a couple times, a bunch of times in scripture. Here's two of them, mark one 15, the time Kairos is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand, the Chronos has been fulfilled. The Kairos is here and the kingdom of heaven is at hand. I believe we're in a season right now in this country, in this time in the world where God's hand is upon this time.

You wanna know how I know because I'm doing college group out there. Two girls walk by. Hey, we were going somewhere else tonight, but we saw that college sign and we want to know if we can come to college study tonight. Come on in. They come in. I said, where do you live? You know, here's the giveaway. Three minutes from where we're doing Claremont Popup Church. I'm like, okay, four other girls show up. They saw us online. Their one of 'em brothers goes here, four of 'em walk up.

They live two minutes from the two new girls that walked up. I'd never met the four girls before. Where do they live? Three minutes from where we're doing pop-up church. They say, we want to go to do pop-up church with you. We're gonna show up to pop-up church next week. I start looking around. I'm like, I couldn't create that. I can't make people walk by and smell the church. I cook some mean food. I do cook some mean food.

People just start showing up. Mentioned a couple atheist girls that showed up at Easter. I told you about them. They came back, spoke to 'em, said, how'd you hear about it? We just wanted to start looking at churches. I said, cool. We looked, found your website. We showed up and I said to to one of them, I said, well she's, she must be your Christian friend. She invited you. She goes, no, no, I'm, I don't go to church either.

Neither of us have ever gone to church. We just wanted to come check it out. So they've been coming multiple weeks. I can't do that. I make a cool website and we got a new website pop in here pretty soon you can, I can smell it in the air. And if you can't smell it in the air, if you can't see it, all these kids going to Faith club. We got 60, 70 kids coming to high school. Faith clubs, the pizza and Vinny, I'm, I'm just saying that ain't gonna get 70 kids there, but it worked.

Vinny crushes. Vinny crushes. Chronos is the clock. Kairos is the moment. Knowing the time keeps you on schedule. Knowing the seasons keeps you in step with God. Be faithful in the Chronos. Verse two for you. Yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying there is peace and security, then suddenly destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman and they will not escape.

I wanna say moments come sometimes and it might not be the moment you want and that you were expecting, but when you're prepared like farmers are prepared, says, then you're prepared for the unexpected moments. We lost three. We lost three big names this week. Ozzy went out, right? He, three weeks ago, he was just on stage Prince of darkness, right, with Black Sabbath. Big concert. Filled the stadium in his glory, sitting in his throne, singing, gone.

Malcolm Chamal Warner, my favorite of the Huxtables from the Cosby Show. I dunno if you know, he passed away this week, swimming in Costa Rica, just swimming. I love that guy. That guy was cool. Gone just swimming in Costa Rica on vacation with his family. The Huster hu mania, right? Two days, day before they got Instagram the day before pushing his new beer brand, right? Just talking, having a good time, gone next Instagram.

I see they're bringing him out. This is holster being brought out of the of, of, of his home. That moment came, I don't know if they were ready for it or not. I'm not in their lives. Moments come and there are unavoidable moments that are coming for your life. All of us are have those moments, right? We're all gonna have a moment that we don't want. That's part of life. How we live our chronos. K Chronos is going to affect what happens when that kairos moment comes, when those moment of harvesting comes.

And will we be ready? Rick Warren said this, preparation precedes blessing. God is preparing you for what he has prepared for you. Lemme read that again. It's a great quote. Preparation precedes blessing. God is preparing you for what he has prepared for you. Ephesians two 10, for we are as workmanship created in Christ for good works, for which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. So let's keep the lights on verse four through six.

But we are not in darkness. Brothers and sisters, you don't get out of this one for the day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of the light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep as others do. But let us keep awake and be sober. The devil wants to keep you distracted, disinterested and undetermined. The devil wants to keep you distracted, disinterested and undetermined.

Determination is an undervalued skill and gift for the believer. I wish in the spiritual gifts, determination was one of 'em. I guess perseverance. You know, we can persevere on those things. He wants to keep you distracted, disinterested and undetermined. We want to be a determined people of people that are going after it with God. Because one of the best ways to not know what time it is, is to be in the dark. They have a, I've spoken as one of my favorite analogies coming in for a landing here.

My favorite analogies is this thing called the free running experiment of the 1960s. Free running. What they did was they put a person in a room and they put the lights on, the no windows, no sense of time. They put 'em in a room, they had all the modern conveniences, everything they needed and let the person stay in the room. And what they found with multiple people is that the person would live normally for a while while they had this circadian rhythm thing going.

But pretty soon their sleep patterns would get weird. They'd have 12 hours of sleep, be up for three hours, sleep five more hours, get up, beat up, 24 hours, sleep eight hours, on and on. They lost all sense of time. They lost all sense of where they were. They lost all sense. Now they did that in the light, but the darkness will do that to you as well. One of the best ways to not know where you are on the map is to constantly be in the dark.

And if you're putting yourself in dark places, don't be surprised if you don't know where you are, because darkness has a way of blurring the map, blurring the geography, the spiritual geography around you. So here's the the takeaways. Take takeaway number one, stay connected to the power source. John 15, five. Apart from me, you can do nothing. That's Jesus, right? Stay connected to Jesus. Plug into Jesus. Jesus. You just get as much Jesus as you can get.

If you don't know what to do with your time, spend some time with Jesus. It's easy. It's pretty easy right now. Then the question comes to what do you want to do? See if you don't know what to do, spend some time with Jesus. And then the question comes, is that what you really want to do? 'cause you will end up doing what you want to do. Isn't that funny? Almost all the time we always end up doing what we want to do.

Part of being a Christian is doing what you don't want to do. One of the keys to being a Christian often is doing what you don't want to do until you get to the place where that is what you want to do. See, when I think about drinking again, that's the last thing that looks at appetizing duty. But I didn't think I could get sober. That's the last thing that looks at, I want nothing. I want nothing to do with that life.

I gotta the place where all I want to do is be sober because I like being sober and I'm not looking for that distraction in my life. We want to stay in the light. So stay connected to Jesus. Number two, keep the word fueling the flame. Psalm 1 19, 1 0 5 for your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. You could use that timing in regard to path walking. If you are walking and using the light and following God's path, you will end up where you're supposed to be.

Even if you don't know what time, what time the train is coming, if you walk in the light as he is in the light, he will give you direction and you will end up at the train. You'll be really surprised 'cause that train's gonna pull in right when you get there. I didn't even know it was gonna come, but he has a way of working those things out in your life. Stay in the light, stick to Jesus, stick in the power, and then walk in obedience.

John one seven. If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and it also in Christ Jesus. So how do we do this? Just a quick repentance in saying yes to the promptings of God this week, and we're gonna have Danny come forward and ask Danny to come up and the worship team, we're gonna do a song as we respond to God in this, this week, I want you to respond to promptings, right? What are promptings? Well, I want a donut.

That's a prompting. You'll know that, right? I'm gonna get a donut after this. I'm gonna get a coffee. I'm probably gonna eat two donuts in the Miracle Cafe, by the way, that's someplace you could harvest as well. But in those, in those moments, as those promptings in the same way I get, I want a donut. I'm gonna listen to a prompting that says, pull over and help that person. Send somebody a text. You know, text are are some of the best ways you can encourage people just short, short, there's a lot of texts, get gets crazy.

But just that a verse. Tell someone you care for them, that you love them. Show up. Give some money to something that'd be here. Give some money away. Like go find something you care about and invest your life into it. Like give your life away. Follow the promptings. Where is God prompting you? I see God prompting you. I I am not, I am not rebuking you as a congregation. I if that comes across that way, I am not doing that.

You guys are on fire. God just told me to preach this message because with we, we, we need more harvesters. We need more harvesters. We need more resource. We need resource about what we're doing. And I hopefully you, you come, you look at what we're doing, you come, you come to the camps, you go on the camps, you come go to the Miracles Cafe. When we drive it around, you go look at it. You come to Claremont, you go look at Claremont, you come to the window tonight.

You look and if you see something that doesn't look real in inauthentic and it looks inauthentic, or you think that we're not using the God's resources, right? Then you let us know. Don't be a part of it. Go find a church that does something that you can be a part of. But if you see the kingdom of God working here, don't just come sit in a pew. We need harvesters. People that step up. Talk to Pastor Joshua, talk to Pastor Harry. Talk to Raul.

Talk to Drea. Talk to myself. We want to get you involved. Let's stand if you would. Drea, would you sing? Or excuse me, Danny Drea sing it. She will sing. Just lift you up, Lord. Take it moment. Is it? I is. And here's every melody. Tell me what moves you. God. Just tell us what moves you. God. Tell me what moves you. Ask Him that right now in your Own heart. Is it The prayer team? Come forward And I pour my is it, and here I is.

And tell me, Now could be that kairos moment for you now 10 38 in the morning Now could be that moment. Now is that moment perhaps where God's saying now is the moment. Get on my time, get on. Get on, get in, in, in, in rhythm and in step with me. If you need prayer, Danny's gonna sing. Come down for prayer. If you just wanna repent, if you just want your time, just you can come sit in the front. We won't even pray with you. Just let you sit there.

Just come forward now and say, God, now is my moment. I want more of you. I'm actually gonna back this up. If you just want to do that, you want prayer, you wanna come forward, Danny Sing, sing again. No, for my Is now Your Mo. And here is song I see. And here, tell me what moves. Tell us what moves. You got That Pour Lord Down your life now. Now is the moment. Not tomorrow. You might not be here tomorrow. As we bow our heads right now.

I'm just gonna ask anybody says, Hey this, this is hitting me. God is talking me in this moment. And I maybe I don't even know what he's saying. But if it's now, if you just want to be prayed over for this, just raise your hand. Just raise your hand if God, yes, yes, yes. God. Touch your car. You say, I wanna be a harvester. Raise your hand if you wanna be a harvester. That's right. Yes, yes. I'm gonna pray a blessing over you right now.

And then after the service, you need prayer. If you wanna make a decision to follow Jesus for the first time you can come forward. Lord Jesus, bless your people. Bless our church, God. God, we wanna be a church that moves in the moment, that moves in the rhythm, Lord God comes against the forces of darkness, Lord Jesus, to reach out a hand
