POSITION PROFILE:
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated leader to serve as the Miracles Café Coordinator for Sea Change Church. This part-time role is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment through the café ministry, serving both the church and the broader community during Sunday services, Miracles VW Bus outreaches, and special events. As one of the first points of contact for congregants each Sunday, the Café Ministry plays a vital role in fostering connection, hospitality, and a sense of belonging from the moment guests arrive.
SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
MIRACLES CAFE (SUNDAY MORNINGS):
- Arrive early to lead the cafe set up crew.
- Set up tasks include brewing coffee, setting up the cafe store front, coffee stations, and supplies
- Brief volunteers on tasks, menu offerings, and any other updates
- Alongside the Campus Life Pastor, recruit, train and schedule Sunday and event volunteers.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Initiate cleaning and tear down duties after cafe service concludes
- Manage weekly inventory including Costco shopping and online ordering
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the kitchen, pantry, and café storage areas.
MIDWEEK AND SPECIAL EVENT PLANNING DUTIES:
- Coordinate volunteers for Sunday café operations, outreach events, holidays and special events
- Maintain accurate inventory counts to assess cafe replenishment needs
- Purchase inventory needs online or in person (ensure purchases are pre-approved)
- Complete and submit Credit Card Use forms in a timely manner for all purchase
- Facility care: pantry and kitchen organization, occasional event prep such as dismantling and reassembling the trampoline, resetting the Fellowship Hall to the standard layout.
MIRACLES BUS/OUTREACH:
- Collaborate with church and other ministry leaders to plan outreach events on and off campus
- Coordinate outreach logistics, including setup, supply management, transportation, and teardown.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment to connect relationally with the community
- Ability to drive the church’s 1968 VW Bus is a plus, but not required.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- All staff must complete a background check prior to their first scheduled workdayQUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- A coffee-drinker with a heart for ministry, authentic connections and service
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or with a team
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, hospitality, or as a coffee barista/enthusiast is highly desirable.
POSITION STRUCTURE:
Part Time – Hourly
Reports directly to Community Groups Pastor
SCHEDULE:
- Sundays: Approximately 4–5 hours (morning- afternoon)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: Approximately 4–6 hours per day (during office hours)
- Minimum of 15-20 hours per week
- Occasional holidays, outreach and special events
BENEFITS & SALARY:
Alfac discounts, 2 annual therapy sessions with MFT offered upon request. Compensation is $18.50-
22.50 per hour, DOE.
